The Chancellor has announced that the spending review will be held on 25 November 2020. On the following day, we will hold a short webinar on Zoom to discuss how the spending review will affect local government finances. We will identify the specific announcements that have been made by the Chancellor – as well as the issues that remain unresolved. We are expecting the Chancellor to announce the overall fiscal envelope for local government. Additionally, we should also find out about New Homes Bonus, the baseline reset, and additional specific grant funding for social care. |
