Milton Keynes City Council worked with LGi on the creation of a SharePoint document management system, with built in Retention and Sensitivity labelling. LGi’s solution was simple and elegant and users have found it easy to understand and use. The LGi consultants bought extensive expertise of data management in local government which was a significant benefit and really helped our users have confidence in defining their new storage areas and tease out the legislation which should be applied. We now have a GDPR compliant file storage and have eliminated 75% of the data that was on our old, legacy drives.

Using national accounts information and Government Spending Power information over the last ten years, LG Improve were able to compare and interpret why our relative financial and funding position has deteriorated when compared with similar authorities. The lobbying document and supporting information provided evidence, in an easy to digest format and was used in an address by our local MP during a Parliamentary debate on local government funding.
